Jaylen Charles Weller, 22, of Dowagiac, along with the love of his life, Kylie P. Benkert, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Jaylen was born on June 12, 1994 in Niles, MI, to Charles Weller & Virginia (Edge) Hughes. He graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 2013. Jaylen was a hard worker, often working 7 days a week. He was a self-taught guitar player that would constantly find himself lost in the music. Jaylen was a kind person who had a multitude of friends.
Jaylen is survived by his parents, Charles Weller of St. Joseph & Virginia (Guy) Hughes of Kalamazoo; siblings, Adin, Damien, & Cellie; grandparents, Carol (Bruce) Collett of Dowagiac & Jessie (Brenda Moore) Edge of Covert; uncles, Randy (Peggie) Smith, Sam Edge & Tommy Edge; aunt, Jessica (Bobby) Linn; and numerous cousins.
Jaylen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Candy “Memaw” & Gilbert Weller.
