Roscoe A Benedict

Roscoe Benedict, 95, of Lawrence, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. Memorials may be made to the family in c/o Stacey Miller to help with funeral costs. Those wishing to sign Roscoe’s Memory Book online may do so at www.clarkch.com.  Roscoe was born April 6, 1921 in Paw Paw to Hugh and Fern (Middaugh) Benedict. He attended Paw Paw High School where he held many Track and Field records. After high school, Roscoe worked on his family’s farm for many years. On August 13th, 1961 he married the love of his life Alice Brock in Almena, Michigan. Roscoe was always a hardworking man, he continued to work on the farm and later became a milk truck driver picking up and delivering milk at the local milk farms until his retirement in 2003. He was a life-long Mason of the Rising Sun Lodge #119 in Lawrence. He loved his family and friends and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  Roscoe is survived by his children, Philip (Diane) Benedict of Paw Paw, Roxanne Campbell of Chesapeake, Ohio, Brian Benedict of Decatur and Charles Benedict of Lawrence; grandchildren Audra (Marcos) Fuentes, Joseph (Joanne) Cargo, Krystal (Robert) Viars, Stacey (Tony) Miller, Andrew Benedict and Curtis Campbell; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Rock was preceded in death by his wife Alice Benedict; son Robert Benedict and six siblings.
