Beulah “Dee” Dorcas Carmine, 73, of Dowagiac, MI, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her daughter’s home in South Bend, IN with her family by her side. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Dee’s family will be remembering her privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, MI. Dee was born February 7, 1943 in Steubenville, OH to Melvin and Amanda (Keffer) Harper. She married Homer E. “Vic” Carmine and they had five children together. Dee was a stay at home mom until the time of her divorce.  She moved to Michigan where she received her diploma from Benton Harbor High School.  Dee then attended Lake Michigan College where she received her CNA Certification. She retired after working at Berrien General Hospital for twenty six years.  Dee loved her patients and the people she worked with. She was a very giving and kind person, who had a tell it like it is attitude.  Dee’s philosophy in life was you work hard to achieve what you want in life. Dee is survived by her children, Michael Carmine, Sr. of Steubenville, OH; Homer E. Carmine, Jr., of Steubenville, OH; Vickie Williams of South Bend, IN; Joseph (Kelly) Carmine of Mingo Junction, OH; twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Cora Pifer of Steubenville, OH. Dee was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Mildred Harper and a daughter Lisa D. Carmine.
