Pat W. Daly, age 76, of Sister Lakes, MI passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017, in Dowagiac, MI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 51841 Leach Road, Dowagiac, MI 49047, with Father Richard Altine officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac, MI. A Rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Pat’s honor may be made to Cass County Council on Aging or Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. Pat was born May 20, 1940 in Dowagiac, MI to Thomas (Harry) and Alice (Biek) Daly. Pat attended St. John’s Catholic High School in Benton Harbor. He married Judy Kibler on April 4, 1964 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Benton Harbor and enjoyed 39 years of marriage until Judy’s passing. On August 6, 2005, Pat was blessed in marriage a second time when he wed Eldean (Adams) McDonough at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Pat was a lifelong resident of Sister Lakes where he farmed the Daly family centennial fruit farm and was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church where he served as an usher for many years. Pat also served 35 years as a Trustee of Keeler Township and as a member of the Township Planning Commission. Pat loved talking to anyone he met and for years he enjoyed playing cards on nearly a daily basis, except during harvest season. Pat is survived by his wife, Eldean McDonough-Daly; his children: Daniel (Beth) Daly, Dennis Daly, Colleen (Bill) Zuhl and James Daly – all of the Sister Lakes & Dowagiac area; step-children: Shana (Bart) Wartner of Portage, MI and Matthew (Ann) McDonough of Traverse City, MI; fifteen grandchildren: Jordan, Riley, Kellyn, Ryan, Conner, BJ, Morgan, Andrew, David, Morgan, Bailey, Sydney, Devin, Samuel, and Abigail; 3 great-grandchildren: Lucas, Karsyn and Stella and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Judy. In addition to his wife and family, Pat was lovingly cared for in the final months of his life by Molly Bonomo, the staff at Cass County Council on Aging and the staff at Forest Glen Assisted Living.
