Betty Mae Wallace

Betty M. Wallace, 88, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac. Betty was born on March 9, 1929 in Ocoee, TN to Rufus and Mamie Hall. She married Bobby R. Wallace in Rinegold, GA on December 26, 1957. Betty retired from Sundstrand Manufacturing after 30 years of employment.  She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and would often can up to 800 cans of produce every year. Betty is survived by her husband Bobby; her children, Sheila (Richard) MacKellar of Lawton, Lavoy Goodwin of Decatur, Vickie Goodwin of Decatur, Kay Reynolds of Decatur, Cynthia (Holly Good) Wallace of Colorado and Jeffery Wallace of Dowagiac; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; a brother, Lee (Ellen) Hall of Clinton Township, MI and a sister, Jewell (Harold) Bryant of Cleveland, TN. Betty was preceded in death by her son Michael Wallace and her brothers, Alvin Hall, Rufus Hall Jr. and Charlie Hall.
