Anne Springsteen, 82, of Dowagiac, passed away, Friday, April 14, 2017 at The Timbers of Cass County.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 19 at Clark Chapel with Don Eaddy officiating. Burial will follow at South Wayne Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to The Stepping Stone. Anne was born July 24, 1934 in Frackville, Pennsylvania to Stanley & Rose (Grabowski) Ragazinsky. On October 15, 1955 she married Max G. Springsteen in Dowagiac. Anne was employed for several years at Rudy Manufacturing in Dowagiac before settling in to care for her family. She didn’t have children of her own, but her front porch was a gathering place for all as she decorated for the holidays and had cookies and candy available on special occasions. Anne enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and tending to her flower gardens. She was fond of all animals, especially cats.
Anne is survived by her husband Max; nephews & niece-Mark (Patti) Cobb of Las Cruces, NM, Clark (Kathy) Cobb of Dowagiac, Vicky Cobb-James of Dowagiac; great-nieces & nephews-Tim (Dawn) Stelmasiak, Curt Stelmasiak, Mike Soja, Leah Cobb, Ashley (Mike) Briney, Aaron Cobb, Brittnay Cobb; and three great-great nieces & nephew-Maxwell Stelmasiak, Lillian Cobb & Natalie Green. She was preceded in death by five siblings-Al & Frank Amalavage, Ed Kelman, Fran Gall & Josephine Cobb.
