John Mumaugh

John Mumaugh, 60, of Watervliet, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center – Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 1 PM at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Reverend Thomas Bird officiating.  A private burial will take place at a later date at Indian Lake Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle (Hospice) or RegulateMI.org.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. John was born on January 14, 1957, in Dowagiac to Gordon & Marian (Conklin) Mumaugh.  He graduated from Dowagiac Union High School and continued his education at Southwestern Michigan College where he earned an Associate’s Degree with high honors.  John was a jack of all trades.  He worked in all types of fields from farming grain crops to retail sales, however plumbing was not his specialty.  On May 29, 1992, John married Teri Schock at Silver Creek Methodist Church.  John enjoyed sailing, traveling and golfing.  He was also a proud member of the Family Motor Coach Association. John is survived by his wife, Teri; son, David (Michael) Mumaugh Arnold of Denver, CO; step-son, Douglas Kempton Harmon of Coloma; sister, Vicary (Donald) Blackmond of Dowagiac; and nieces, Jehan Blackmond of Holland and Marissa Blackmond of Dowagiac. John was preceded in death by his parents.
