Ricky A. Brown, 53, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 51089 Glenwood Rd., Dowagiac with Pastor Harry Rogers officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Clark Chapel and Cremation Service, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. The family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship following the service on Wednesday at the church. Ricky was born March 4, 1964 in Paw Paw, MI to James & Doris “Eileen” (Powell) Brown. He graduated from Andrews Academy in 1982. Ricky proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic from 1987 until he was honorably discharged in 1993. On March 9, 1987 Ricky married Lisa Montgomery in Dowagiac. Ricky worked as a truck driver for Americart for many years before retirement. He loved to spend his free time golfing and had a love for animals, especially his dog, Foxy. Ricky will be missed by all who knew him.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife Lisa Brown of Dowagiac; children, Richard Henry Brown of Dowagiac and Michael Alan Brown of Three Rivers;mother Eileen (Floyd) Manley; siblings, David (Rhonda) Weaver of Decatur, James (Sheila) Weaver of Vandalia, Charles Brown of Arkansas, Sheila (Paul) Miller of Dowagiac, Sherry Roden of Dowagiac and Delmon (Doreen) Brown of Dowagiac; one grandson on the way; grandmother Flossie Russ and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father James Brown and his step-mother Shirley Brown.
