James's Obituary
James Dale Fosdick, 61, of Cassopolis, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph surrounded by his family.
James was born July, 20, 1956 in Dowagiac, to E. Dale and Mary (Haas) Fosdick. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1974. James married the former Terry O’Konski on November 30, 1991. He began his work career at Contech in Dowagiac as a Journeyman Machinist Builder and then onto Modineer in Niles as a CNC Machinist. James was a member of the Volinia-Marcellus Masonic Lodge #227.
James was an avid University of Michigan fan. He loved music, especially playing his guitar. He could often be found tending his fish aquarium or starting a woodworking project. James was also a master of Soduko. The last several years he has enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whom adored him.
James is survived by his father E. Dale Fosdick of Cassopolis; wife, Terry of Cassopolis; his children, Kasey (Larry) Sibley of Dowagiac, Jason Keen of Dowagiac, Pearlee (Dean) Frye of Three Rivers and Jennifer Schut of Michigan; grandchildren, Harley, Kenzie & Briar Sibley, Alexus & Mercedez Keen, Alyssa, Amanda, Hannah and Kaden Frye and sisters, Shay (Late Bill) Southworth and Tammy (Larry) Clark.
James was preceded in death by his mother Mary Fosdick and brother, Marshall Fosdick.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will host a Memorial service on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at 22111 Dutch Settlement, Cassopolis, MI.
