Sandra Kay Fedore-Wares

Sandra K. Fedore-Wares, 66, of Dowagiac, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, MI with Elder Tracey Hatcher officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Sandra was born on September 14, 1950 in Niles, MI to George and Grace (Vandenberg) Fedore. She graduated from Niles High School in 1968. Sandra worked for a few years at Per Pak in Cassopolis and at United Store Fixtures in Niles for many years.  Sandra was the true matriarch of her family, it was very important to her that her family was taken care of, she was always running someone around, fixing a meal, or just supporting her grandchildren at their events. She was mom, nana, gramma to everyone, she loved and gave unconditionally. Sandra had a very blunt, plain spoken nature you always knew where you stood with her. Sandra is survived by her partner in life, Wesley Wares I of Dowagiac; 5 children, Stacie Wares of Dowagiac, Melissa Wares of Dowagiac, Matthew (Stephanie) Wares of Keeler, Wesley Wares II of Dowagiac and Doug (Ann) Fedore of Mishawaka; 19 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter on the way; a brother, Gary Fedore and sister, Barb Fedore. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robbie Wares and her daughter, Amber Wares.
