June E. Robinson

June E. Robinson, 85, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11 AM at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Melody Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at South Wayne Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home. June was born on December 20, 1931, in Cassopolis, to Clyde & Edna (Kinney) Wilson. She graduated from Dowagiac Central High School. On October 22, 1955, June married the love of her life, Ray Robinson. He preceded her in death in May of 1989. For many years, June worked for Borgess Lee Hospital as a Dietary Aide. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and buying little angel & swan trinkets when possible. June was excellent at crocheting; she made the majority of her family and friends beautiful pieces of her work. June was a wonderful lady and will be missed dearly by all. June is survived by her children, Mike Robinson of Grand Rapids, Sharon (Robin) Chaney of Lawton, David Robinson of Fredrickton, New Brunswick, Canada, & Donna Bender of New Buffalo; and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde & Edna; husband, Ray; son, Brian Robinson; and brother, Jerry Wilson.
