Louis's Obituary
Louis Gibson, Sr., 87, of Dowagiac, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 26, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac. Louis was born April 12, 1930 in St. Joseph to Paul and Mary (Alexis) Gibson. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. On July 25, 1978 he married Ruth Logan in Dowagiac. Louis was employed with Sunstrand Manufacturing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Detroit Lions football games, most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; son, Louis Paul Gibson of Dowagiac; stepson, Robert Lynn of Dowagiac; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Magnis and son, Louis Person Gibson, Jr.
