Kenneth Wayne Belew, 74, of Dowagiac passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Timbers of Cass County.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Ken was born December 20, 1942 to Raymond & Vivian (Williams) Belew in Benton Township. He graduated from Dowagiac Central and went on to receive an associates degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lake Michigan College. Ken was married to his former wife, Joan Belew, for 44 years and together they raised three sons. Ken was a member of the Dowagiac Elks and Moose Lodge as well as a member and past president of the Sister Lakes Snowmobile Club. He loved his Harley motorcycle, Yamaha snowmobile, golfing and racing. Ken was a skilled machinist, millwright and mechanic. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Ken is survived by his children, Kevin (Honor) Belew of Ann Arbor, Keith (June) Belew of Dowagiac and Kyle (Sherrie Archer) Belew of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Kate, Grace, Aidan, Kiele, Kenley, Lainey and Kris; step-grandchildren, Brittany, Shaun and Shelby; sister, Lillian (Ray) Scudder; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Kameron Belew and his sisters, Lora LaVerne (Fern) Gardener and Rebecca (Becky) Belew.
