Margaret May Brewer

Margaret May Brewer, 93, of Dowagiac, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac with Pastor Steve Bisbee officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at South Wayne Cemetery. Margaret was born May 29, 1924 in Dowagiac to Carson & Hazel (Myers) Lillie.  She married the love of her life Elmer Brewer in Cassopolis on April 10, 1941.  Margaret worked at Sunstrand for 32 years before retiring.  In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, mushroom hunting, camping, playing cards and preparing Sunday dinners for her family. Surviving Margaret are her children Marjorie Hall of Keeler and Linda (Larry Graham) Davis of Dowagiac; grandchildren Debbie (John) Euans, Donna (Dan) Grice, Terry (Kim) Hall, Tracy (Rick) Ivens, Tabatha (Rob) Gajewski, Jolene (Rico) Smith and Duane (Brittney) Davis; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Winifred Arndt, Phyllis Green, Pat (Roger) Small and Thomas (Betty) Lillie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; son, Terry Brewer; siblings, Floretta McCuen, Pauline Schultz, Junior Lillie and Morris Lillie and son-in-law, William Hall.
