George “Mickey” M. Lee, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at The Timbers of Cass in Dowagiac. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 22, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac with Pastor Mike Schoeplein officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Bert Wilbur. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. Mickey was born on June 7, 1944 to Clarence and (Inez) Robinson in Blytheville Arkansas. He moved with his family to Michigan when he was a teenager, living in the Benton Harbor area for most of his life. Mickey worked for Soper Manufacturing in Benton Harbor as General Laborer for thirteen years before retirement. In his spare time, he loved to gamble, visiting the local casinos and enjoyed fishing. Mickey is survived by his nephews, Vincent Lee, Thomas Sturgeon and Bert Wilbur; niece Sara Wilbur nephew Kaleb Lee; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hall and many extended nieces, nephews and cousins. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Kermit Lee and Dywane Lee.
