Virginia A. Massey

Virginia A. Massey, 92, of Osceola, IN, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 12pm at the First General Baptist Church, 11101 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN, with Pastor Neil Davis officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11am until time of service on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the church. Virginia was born on January 20, 1926, to William & Irene (Jameson) in Baldwyn, MS. She attended Baldwyn High School. On January 20, 1967, Virginia married James “JR” Massey in Dowagiac. She worked in the assembly line constructing Flutes for Gemeinhardt Co. Virginia was a member of First General Baptist Church and participated in their women’s mission group and bible study. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting and listening to classic country and old rock music. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her child Brenda Bergemann of Niles; stepdaughters, Judy Christner of Elkhart and Rae (Robert) Zavor of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; son Roger D. Scott; brothers, Hoyt Blassingame and Doyle Blassingame; and sons-in-law, George Christner and Russ Bergemann.
