Irene Anne Mroczka

Irene Anne Mroczka, 92, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 51841 Leach Rd., Dowagiac, MI with Father Richard Altine officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dowagiac, MI. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, April 4, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with a Rosary at 7 PM. On October 16, 1948 she married Casimir Mroczka in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chicago by her uncle, Rev. Joseph Buczyna. Irene was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Altar Guild, Golden Agers and CGF-PNA. Irene is survived by her son, Casimir Mroczka of Dowagiac; siblings, Frances Gorak, Lorraine Kwak, Felicia Greanto, Maryann Wagenhoffer and Richard (Sandra) Potocki and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes; husband of almost 50 years, Casimir and siblings, Dolores Glista, Eugenia Alleva, twin sister, Adeline Tanis, Bernadette Gembara, Joseph Potocki, Henry Potocki and Edward (Pete) Potocki.
