Carol L. Novak

Carol Lynn Novak, 52, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at First United Methodist Church 326 N. Lowe St., Dowagiac, MI. Friends may visit from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday April 23, 2018, at the Church, then again on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Carol was born July 28, 1965, to Ross Page and Sharon (Deal) Harnden in Niles, MI. She attended Dowagiac Union High School where she graduated in 1983. Carol was united in marriage on December 8, 1990 in Dowagiac to Scott Novak in Dowagiac. Carol was a longtime volunteer for the Fine Arts Boosters. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and was their Head of trustees. Most of all she loved her family, they were her life. Carol touched the hearts of many people in the community and will be missed by all who knew her. Carol is survived by her husband, Scott Novak; daughter, Kirsten Novak; mother Sharon Harnden; brother, Russel (Loria) Page and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Ross Page and step-father James Harnden.
