Shirley Linn

Shirley Linn, 68, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, surrounded by her family at Lakeland Regional Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 11AM at Keeler Church of God, 61783 CR687 E., Dowagiac, with Pastor Boyd Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, .July 24, 2018, from 5PM until 7PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be made to Keeler Church of God. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Pokagon Band Community Center, 27043 Potawatomi Trail, Dowagiac. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Shirley was born on September 12, 1949, to Paul & Rosa (Lee) Cantrell in Benton Harbor. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1967. On March 29, 1968, Shirley married Robert Linn in Edwardsburg. Shirley’s passion in life was her family. She loved shopping, especially for her grandkids and watching her families Band “Phoenix” that she once sang in herself. Shirley was known to always lend a helping hand and to put others first, even though she was ill, she never complained once. Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert Linn of Dowagiac; children, Robert (Jessica) Linn Jr. of Dowagiac, Kelli (Jamie) Linn of Dowagiac and Marci (Tom Turnbow) Linn of Dowagiac; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the way, Nova Lee; siblings, Jerry (Judy) Cantrell of Dowagiac, Sylvia (Robert) Moon of Dowagiac and Charles (Cindy) Cantrell of Dowagiac. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Rosa Cantrell and nephew Jerry Cantrell Jr.
