Beatrice “Bea” M. Hogue, 85, of Dowagiac, passed away, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 16 2018, at Sumnerville Cemetery in Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Cancer Society. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com
Bea was born on February 10, 1933 in Dowagiac to Ray and Ella (Stafford) Karn. On July 4, 1985, she married the love of her life Hollis Hogue in Dowagiac. She worked as a Machine Operator at Contech Castings for over 25 years before retirement. Bea loved her animals, she raised goats, chickens, and rabbits. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching Western movies. Most of all she loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Bea is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Hollis Hogue; children Lee (Diane) Karn of Cassoplis, Elizabeth (Lavern) Phillips of Decatur and Cindy Vanasse of Marcellus; 6 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; step-children Theresa Land and Brenda Rogers; grandchildren Vernon Phillips and Patrick Colley.
