Sue Ann Andersen, 70, of Dowagiac, passed away, Friday, August 31, 2018 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 5 at Victory Tabernacle, 608 Middle Crossing Rd., corner of Prairie Ronde & Middle Crossing Rd., Dowagiac, with Pastor Paul Hodge. Jr. & Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the church. Sue Ann was born October 18, 1947 in Dowagiac to Clarence & Elsie (Fellner) Carpenter. She attended Dowagiac Union High School. On September 20, 1969, she married Raymond Andersen in Dowagiac. She was employed at Penrod Hiawatha, retiring after twenty years of employment. Sue Ann was a loyal member of Victory Tabernacle for thirty-eight years. She enjoyed shopping, attending yard sales, playing cards every Tuesday with her brother & sister, and rooting for the Detroit Tigers & Lions. Sue Ann had a wonderful sense of humor and was always known has a giving person. She enjoyed taking trips with her family and friends and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren attending their sporting events.
Sue Ann is survived by her husband Raymond; her children-Carl Andersen of Dowagiac, Tony (Rayann) Franco of Dowagiac, Tammy (Joe Anders) Franco-Rank of Dowagiac, Tim (Sonya) Andersen of Crestview, Florida, Terry Andersen of Dowagiac; twenty grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Kate (Jim) Wilder of Dowagiac; her brother Mano (Linda) Carpenter of Dowagiac; numerous nieces & nephews; and her best friend Karen Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her daughter Vickie Andersen Caldwell, her parents, four sisters-Elise, Nancy, Veeann, & Carol, and five brothers-Vick, Bruce, Robert, Jimmy & Vance.
