Helen G. Jackson

Helen G. Jackson, 85, of Dowagiac, passed away, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 7 at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Scott Stambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 11:00AM until the time of Service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to the family in care of Betty Chandler. She married Clifton Jackson as a young teenager in Alabama before moving to Michigan where Helen spent the last 35 years of her life. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, to Helen family was everything especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Helen is survived by her children, Diane Jackson of Gardendale, AL, Judy Bradly of Mishawaka, Brenda Moore of Dowagiac, Betty Chandler of Dowagiac, Cathy (Glen) Pasley of Bangor, Carolyn Costner of Bangor, Kenneth Jackson of Mishawaka and Lisa Herter of Edwardsburg; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifton Jackson; children Huston Jackson, Keith Jackson, Ricky Jackson and Raynell Jackson; siblings Joe Blanketship and Sterling Blanketship.
