Albert “Al” L. Bacon, 70, of Dowagiac, Passed away, Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 601 Ferry St., Niles. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in Al’s name may be made to Mt. Al was born on June 5, 1948 in Dowagiac to Richard George and Luegennia Clyde (Stephen) Bacon. He worked as a custodian at Ameri-Kart in Cassopolis for over 15 years before his illness. On May 18, 2018 he married Yvonne Pedraza in Dowagiac. Al had a love for Dancing and Music, and could always be found listening and dancing to older R&B music. Most of all he loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Al is survived by his wife Yvonne Bacon; children Tameka Bacon, Robert Bacon, Kevin Bacon and Antwan Bacon; grandchildren Zuri, Zaccyah, Tanyeka, Mallyah, Robert II, Kordae, Navaida, Ayden, Avionna and Bryce; great-grandchild Sevon; siblings Robert Stephen, Karl Bacon, Dennis (Barbara) Bacon, Kevin (Jonna) Bacon, Jeffrey (Sylvia) Holliman, Willie Cosey, Randy (Juanita) Bacon, Donald (Sarah) Bacon, Bryant (Monica) Bacon, Richie Bacon, Ava (Charlie) Bly, Sylvia Brown, Patricia Betts and Terrie (Jesse) Miller; step-mother Agnes Bacon; host of cousins, Nieces, Nephews and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Doris (Jackson) Bacon and brother Richard Bacon.
