Cody Lee Jenkins

Cody L. Jenkins, 34, of Decatur, MI passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in Dowagiac. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Burial to follow at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel in Niles, MI. Friends may visit Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Julie Johnson or Emily Jenkins. A trust fund is being set up for Emily. Those wishing to share a condolence for the family may do so online at www.clarkch.com. Cody was born June 18, 1984 in South Bend, IN to Sanders Ralph & Paula (Stuckman) Jenkins. He attended Dowagiac High School. Cody worked at Midway Marina for many years, but most recently was self-employed installing piers. He was a talented, self-taught guitarist who played in several bands. Music was his passion. Cody’s main purpose was his daughter Emily whom he loved very much and enjoyed spending time with. Cody is survived by his daughter Emily; father Sanders Ralph Jenkins of Dowagiac; siblings, Kelly Jenkins of South Bend, Julie (Eric) Johnson of Porter, IN and Robert (Allyson) Jenkins of Buchanan; six nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles and many special friends that cared for him. He was preceded in death by his mother Paula Jenkins and grandparents Laveta & Paul Stuckman, Joan VanDervort and aunt Rebecca Gross.
