John E. Myers

John E. Myers, 83, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, at his home. John was born on May 1, 1935 to the late Donald and Rosa (Stoker) Myers in Pokagon Twp, MI. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving from 1952-1956. On September 7, 1962, he married Margie Justus-Wilson in Dowagiac. John was a selfless man and his door was always open. Most of all, he cherished his family. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Myers; son, Rick (Nancy) Myers of Dowagiac; daughter, Lisa (Ron) Dutoi of Granger; grandson, Jon Myers and sisters, Donna Hoger, Doris (Lewie) Hoyt, Diana Flanders, Linda Andersen and Darlene (James) Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rosa Myers; brother, Gabe (JoAnn) Myers; sister, Katherine Haas and brother-in-law, Larry Flanders. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle, 4025 Healthpark Lane, St. Joseph, MI.
