Larry Lambrecht, Sr., 74, of Dowagiac, passed away, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at his home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be made to the Cass County Humane Society. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. Larry was born March 25, 1944, in Benton Harbor to Edgar and Ethel (Molter) Lambrecht. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1969. On December 3, 1971, he married the love of his life, Eleanor Brownell in Dowagiac. Larry worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 31 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Sister Lakes Fire Department, Keeler Fire Department and the Sister Lakes Lions Club. Larry was an outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, camping and just being outside. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Lambrecht; children, Larry Lambrecht, Jr., Trudy Lambrecth, Victoria (Michael) Jones, Ricky Mead, Michael (Brenda) Mead, Penny Efting, Judy (Scott) Efting and Steven Mead; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings Robert (June) Lambrecht, Gloria Kendzior, Linda Bartz and Karen Bliley. He was preceded in death by his parents.
