Kenneth “Ken” L. Gunther, 70, of Decatur, passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice on Friday, March 30, 2018. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, from 12pm until 4pm at the VFW Post #6248, 540 N. Phelps St., Decatur. Ken was born on April 21, 1947, to Bill & Gayla (Abrams) Gunther in Dowagiac. He graduated from Hartford High School. Ken’s number one passion in life was farming, he worked for Farmer Grain’ for 20 years. He then drove trucks for Dave’s Concrete before he retired. Ken was a member of the VFW Post #6248 Auxiliary team. He enjoyed Nascar, golfing, and gambling at the casino. Ken was an avid University of Michigan fan. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. Ken is survived by his children, Phil Gunther of Lincoln, Nebraska, Lesa (Mitch) Pratt of St. Joseph and Greg Gunther of Decatur; grandchildren, Mallory Gunther, Mckenzie Gunther, Nicholas Gunther, Spencer Beem and Sophia Gunther; and siblings, Ron (Linda) Gunther of Dowagiac and Karla (Josh) Ostrem of Lawton. Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
