Rob Loveland

Rob “Lovie” Loveland, 54, a lifelong resident of Decatur, MI, passed away suddenly in South Bend, IN, on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel & Cremations Services, (269) 423-2561.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 12:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 500 St. Mary St., Decatur, with Father Robert Creagan officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Following the service there will be a luncheon held at Decatur VFW. Rob was born on September 3, 1962, in Paw Paw, MI, to James & Barbara (Leighton) Loveland. He married Betti Jo on July 28, 1999, in South Bend, IN, under a tulip tree. When they married, Betti Jo had two children, John and Ann Madaras; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He worked at Iron Worker 292 in South Bend and prior to that he worked at Cook Nuclear Plant. He is survived by his wife, Betti Jo; step-children, John and Ann Madaras; mother, Barbara Loveland; sister, Stacey Docekal; brothers, Jim, Eric and Chris Loveland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his father, James Loveland.
