Thomas's Obituary

Thomas Max Willbrandt, 70, of Muskegon, and formerly of Decatur, MI where he was a celery farmer for many years, passed away on May 18, 2017. Tom was born to Doris (Barrett) and the late G. William Willbrandt on May 19, 1946 in Muskegon.  He was married to the former Susan Glasen, now of Chino Valley, AZ for 33 years.  Together they raised 3 children: 2 daughters, Bonnie (Charlie) Adams and Becky (Bud) Makay of Decatur and one son, William (Clark Burkle) of East Lansing, MI. He is survived by his mother, of Holland, MI, his children, and his former wife, along with 5 grandchildren: Tara (Grant) Cropsey of Marcellus, MI, Greg (Melinda) Adams of Niles, MI, and Brent, Blake, and Baylee Makay all of Decatur, 3 great-grandchildren: Keagan, Jonathan, and Harmony Cropsey, and 2 step great-grandchildren, Jamie and Allison Wyant .  Tom is also survived by one Aunt, Gladys Loomis of Muskegon, one Uncle, David Barrett of Chula Vista, CA, his brothers Barry, Brian, and Doug, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving members of their families. Visitation will be held at the Starks Family Funeral Home – Newell Chapel in Decatur on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5-8 PM.  There will be a Memorial Celebration at the Decatur VFW, 506 N Phelps St., Decatur, MI, at Noon on Friday, May 26.
