Robert's Obituary
Robert I. Evans, 71, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Robert was born on February 2, 1946 in Flint to Sanford & Mary Ann (Veselsky) Evans. Robert proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968, during the Vietnam War. He was the founder and owner of Evans Heating and Air Conditioning, where he worked at for 25 years. One of his main hobbies was buying old trucks to rehab and resell them. However, most of all Robert loved his family.
Robert is survived by his 8 children; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill (Vedie) Evans.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
