Brenda's Obituary
Brenda Elaine Carter, 58, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at her sister’s home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 25, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51 Decatur officiated by Rev. Tim Mathis. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Memorial donations can be made to Don Carter. Brenda was born in Benton Harbor on August 30, 1958 to Denver Henslee and Laverne Kelley. On May 15, 1976, she married Clarence Donald Carter in Decatur. Brenda enjoyed working in the yard and being crafty.
Brenda is survived by her husband Don, siblings Billie Smith, Lisa Spillman, Patricia Norris, Denver Henslee Jr., and Scott Henslee.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father Denver Henslee, her sister Delsey Henslee, and her sons Greg and David Carter.
