Shirley A Gerhold 80, of Dowagiac, formally of Decatur, died Tuesday November 28,2017 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo MI.She will be laid to rest next to her son at Highland Cemetery in South Bend, with a private family service. Those wishing to leave a condolence may do so on line at www.newellchapel.com. Shirley was born on April 15, 1937 in Kalamazoo MI, to Roy & Anna Gunnett. During her life she was a homemaker and nurses aid at local nursing homes. Shirley is survived by her son Joseph (Amy) Gerhold of Decatur and a daughter Cindi (Greg) Fish of South Bend; two granddaughters Kelly & Tiara Fish, Five grandsons Nathan, Nichols, Axton, Matthews and Jacob Gerhold.
She was preceded in death by her son Tracy Yerge in 2003
