Joseph Mark Boyle, 82, of Decatur, MI, formally of Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away on March 5th, 2018. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in the Veterans Memorial Park at Lakeside Cemetery in Decatur, MI. Please park along Veterans Memorial Drive. The family invites all to A Celebration of Life luncheon afterwards at the VFW Post 6248, 560 N. Phelps Street, Decatur MI 49045. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the VFW Post 6248, 560 N. Phelps Street, Decatur MI 49045. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.newellchapel.com. A proud Veteran with 16 years of service, Joseph served as a Marine during the Korean Conflict, and then enlisted in the Navy and served again in Vietnam. He was an active member of VFW Post 6248. Joseph is proceeded in death by his wife of 35 years Jeanne C. Boyle; son John Boyle; and his siblings, Thomas, Bernard, William, Martha, Lillian, Carmela and Anna Mae. Joseph is survived by his children, Nancy and Jeffery Boyle and loving partner of 18 years LaVona Thomas, her daughter Laura (Dennis) Zmyslo and sisters Helen and Mary. Joseph loved and cherished children, also missing him are “special daughter” Beth (Dave) Koster, grandchildren Kellie Garrison, Rachael (Phil) Yoder, Jeremy (Julie) Parker, Mark Boyle, Christina Boyle, Tom (Carole) Zmyslo, Stephanie (Matt) Subel, Tricia (Brance) Kane and 13 great-grandchildren Hayleigh, Nicole, Jasmine, Kaleb, Kierstyn, Kyle, Layla, Gracie, Tillie, Blake, Zayden, Kinzy and Tazlyn.
