Kathleen Creagan

Kathleen Creagan, 60, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 11AM until 1PM at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Those wishing to sign Kathleen’s Memory Book online may do so at www.newellchapel.com. Kathleen was born on September 26, 1957, to J.W. & Joy (Wood) Wilkins in Maywood, CA. She graduated from San Bernardino High School in California, then continued her education at Southwestern Michigan College. On November 15, 1990, she married John Creagan in Paw Paw. Kathleen was a women of many talents, she enjoyed working at a ceramic and sewing factory, bartending for the M 40 Bar & Grill and cooking for the Little Burger Joint. Kathleen also enjoyed crafts, such as sewing, crocheting and coloring. She was an avid LA Dodgers and Dallas Cowboys Fan. Kathleen had a passion for planting flowers in her rock gardens, riding down back roads and taking pictures. Most of all, she loved to spend her time with her family. Kathleen is survived by her husband John of 28 years; children, Megan (Wally Ritter) Brewer of Edwardsburg and Shannon (Jocie) Creagan of Kalamazoo; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Wendell Wilkins and Ronnie Wilkins. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; children, Nicole Randall and Steven Brewer; and sister Linda Marie Langbecker.
