Wilma R. Arnold

Wilma R. Arnold, 71, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur, MI with Pastor James Abshagen officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home. Wilma was born on March 20, 1947 in Paw Paw to William Therman and Uldine Ruthie (McCrackin) Stroud. On April 3, 1964 she married the love of her life Herman “Al” Arnold. Wilma loved gardening and was an avid reader. She enjoyed shopping for jewelry both online and on the television. Most of all, Wilma loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Al Arnold; children, Laura Lynn (Mark) Hendrickson and William “Bill” Jason Arnold; grandchildren, Brittany Hendrickson, Kristen Hendrickson and Allyson Arnold; step-father, Johnny New, Sr.; siblings, Christina Faye (Robert) Gordenier, William Therman (Donna Kidd) Stroud and Johnny (Helen) New, Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marcia Adams.
