Bruno J. Mroczek

Bruno J. Mroczek, 89, of Decatur was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at White Oaks, Lawton, MI. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Decatur Bible Church, 80797 M-51, Decatur, MI, with Bruno’s son-in-law Pastor Steven Pulley officiating. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Decatur Bible Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel, Decatur. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.newellchapel.com Bruno was born on April 19, 1929, to Joseph and Jennie Mroczek in Chicago, IL. Bruno moved to Decatur with his family as a young child. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1948. On November 16, 1951, he married Isabelle Coulson of Paw Paw. Bruno was a proud farmer, proving many wrong by successfully starting his own farm. After retiring and passing the “plow” to his son Steve, his passion was vegetable gardening. Most of all, Bruno cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruno is survived by his children, Cathy (Doug) Tilley of Ashville, NC, Linda (Pastor Steven) Pulley of Albion, IN, Ken (Deb) Mroczek of Mattawan, Steve (Diane) Mroczek of Decatur, Debbie (Mike) Leasure of Grand Rapids and Dan (Elaine) Mroczek of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Kris Mroczek of Decatur; sister, Sophie Sienkiewicz of Decatur; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Mroczek on October 1, 1991; son, Joe Mroczek and brothers, Stanley, Henry and Walter Mroczek.
