Edna Calderwood

Edna Calderwood, 98, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services, 8747 US 31 Berrien Springs. With Pastor Corey Kugle officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 A.M.  Monday, October 13, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. On October 10, 1936 she married Frederick Calderwood in Berrien Springs. Edna was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule by working on the farm and caring for her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, fishing and loved animals. Edna is survived by her sons Richard “Dick” (MaryAnn) Calderwood of Berrien Springs, James (Nancy) Calderwood of Berrien Springs and Robert “Bob” Calderwood of FL; grandchildren Kim (Danny) Sanford of NC, Lori (Doug) Canfield of Buchanan, Jamie Calderwood of Berrien Springs, Jeff (Jessa) Calderwood St. Joseph, Kris (Kate) Calderwood of Jenison, MI Angel Calderwood of Indianapolis; step grandchildren Michele (Keith) Kirk of Berrien Springs, Jason (Jackie) Neidlinger of Stevensville and Steve (Katie) Neidlinger of Berrien Springs; great grandchildren Frehley Calderwood, Ella, William, Noah, Netsy Calderwood, Hunter & Caleigh Sanford, Rhys & Max Calderwood, Kirsten & Mason Canfield, Eli, Ben, Gabe, Neidlinger, Collin & Andrew Neidlinger and Gavin Kirk. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters Eleanor Smith and Mike Hensler.
