Jerry Lee West

Jerry Lee West, 29 of Dowagiac, MI passed away April 30, 2018 in Cassopolis, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, May 7, 2018 at The Village Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 635 St. Joseph Ave., Berrien Springs, MI with Pastor Ted Toms officiating. Friends may visit with the family at 11:00 AM at the church before the service. Burial will be take place at Franklin Cemetery in Berrien Center at a later date. Those wishing to share a memory of Jerry online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com Jerry was born February 10, 1989 in Berrien Center to Steven Alan West, Sr. and Carol Zuhl West. He graduated from Dowagiac High School and worked as a mechanic for Bennington Marine in Elkhart, IN for the last several years. Jerry was a member of the Rolling Thunder Motor Cycle Group and participated in many “Rides for the Homeless.” He was very proud of his Ninja 900 motorcycle and enjoyed working on automobiles. Jerry especially loved spending time with his family and friends.     Jerry is survived by his father, Steve, of Eau Claire; mother, Carol, of St. Joseph; brothers, Steven “Skeeter” West of Florida, Michael West of Dowagiac and Jonathon (Jamie) West of Buchanan and a niece, Ayona West of Florida. Jerry was preceded in death by his step-mother, Barbara Hudson West in 2017.
