Lloyd Shelton, 73, of Berrien Springs, passed away, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at his home.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, with Rev. Dean Pickett officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, beginning at Noon Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family. Those wishing to sign Lloyd’s Memory Book online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com.Lloyd was born July 1, 1939 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to William Andrew “WA” & Minnie (Allred) Shelton. He was employed for thirty-eight years at Leco Corporation in St. Joseph. Lloyd enjoyed helping others any way he could & working on cars & bicycles. He was always happy, no matter what the situation. Lloyd is survived by his brother Jim (Linda) Shelton of Wellford, SC; two sisters-Sue Hall of Watervliet & Carol Brunett of Dayton, TX; his sister-in-law Retha Shelton of Berrien Springs; several nieces & nephews; and a special friend Rhonda Taylor of Berrien Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Velma Karnes Shelton, his brother Larry Shelton, and his sister Thelma Moreno.
