Kenneth Ray Clayton

Kenneth Ray Clayton, 84, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Chapel in Berrien Springs. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, MI. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Kenneth may do so online at www.heritage-chapel.com. Kenneth was born December 12, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Kenneth & Jewel (Gray) Clayton. On November 6, 1983 he married Patricia Mills. Kenneth worked for Kawneer for many years and retired from Gast. He also worked for Turner Furniture. In his spare time he enjoyed walks on the bluff in St. Joseph and fishing. Kenneth is survived by his wife Patricia Clayton of Benton Harbor; eight children Kenneth (Vicki) Clayton of Texas, Larry (Norma) Clayton of Dowagiac, Cathy Swan of Bridgman, Mary Ann (Dick) Calderwood of Berrien Springs, Michael (Candi) Clayton of Berrien Springs, Roger Clayton of Berrien Springs, Amy (Michael) Payne of Indianapolis, and Michael (Melissa) Gerlach of Stevensville.; 17 Grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and beloved dog Dora. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and brother J.C.
