Joseph L. Pultz

Joseph L. Pultz, of Berrien Springs, on October 3, 2013 at 5:44 P.M. made the transition to his Heavenly Home at the age of 63 years old, peacefully at home. Joseph was born April 25, 1950 to Glenn and Clara Pultz in Niles, Michigan. Later in life on September 17, 2006 he married his best friend Valerie (Bennett) Pultz. Joseph was a tool & die cast process engineer most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a big NASCAR fan, following Dale Earnhardt Sr. #3 and Dale Jr. #88. He was also a fan of University of Michigan and the Chicago Bears. Joseph enjoyed going to Four Winds Casino. He was a member of American Legion Post #85 in Berrien Springs and Moose Lodge #933 in Dowagiac. Joseph leaves behind his lovely wife Valerie (Bennett) Pultz of Berrien Springs; his lovely dog Tasha & his lovely cat Skunky; two daughters-Christiane Bennett of Berrien Springs, Meagan (Tony) Mottweiler of Fort Bliss, TX; his son Thomas McClain of Buchanan; four grandchildren-Piper Bennett of Berrien Springs, Audrey, Anthony Jr., & Austin Mottweiler of Fort Bliss, TX; three brothers, one sister; two sisters–in-law-Amy (Terry) Tefs of Berrien Springs, Karen (Chris) Cobb of Vassar, MI; aunts & uncles & nieces & nephews; his mother-in-law & father-in-law Sharon & John Bennett of Berrien Springs; and friends too numerous to mention. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Diane and brother-in-law Steve, brother-in-law Wayne, uncle Bill, and niece Laura. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, with Dr. Chris Noffke officiating. Friends may visit beginning at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Those attending are encouraged to wear their NASCAR, U of M or Bears sports clothing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or the family.
