GeorgEtta “Georgie” Williamson, 90, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away November 13, 2013 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 18, 2013 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs with Pastor Derek Cromwell officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 17, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Alzheimer’s Assoc. or to the family. She married Joseph Williamson on October 4, 1941 in Hartford, Michigan, he preceded her in 1976. GeorgEtta was a homemaker who loved to crochet, and to tend to the flowers and vegetables in her garden; but most of all, she was devoted to her family. GeorgEtta is survived by her children, George (Karen) Williamson of Bangor, Betty Best and Raymond Williamson of Berrien Springs, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, sister Pauline McWhirter of Hobart, IN., and numerous nieces and nephews. GeorgEtta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Shirley Moore and Violet Birky, three brothers and a sister.
