Kenneth Stanger

Kenneth Stanger, 76, of Stevensville, MI passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs. Burial will be held at Spring Run Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Stanger Family. Those wishing to share a memory of Kenneth online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com Kenneth was born September 2, 1937 in Ligonier, IN to Otis & Helen (Gangwer) Stanger. He served his country in the United States Army from 1961 until 1963. On January 25, 1964 he married Rolene Hendrix in St. Joseph. Kenneth worked as a truck driver for Miller & Sons for over 19 years and was a Custodian for Lake Shore High School. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the camp ground, WWII model airplanes, and antique cars. Kenneth is survived by his wife Rolene Stanger of Stevensville; son Rick Stanger of Germany; daughter Kristine Stanger of New York; sisters Diana (Robert) Goff of Florida and Susan (Dale) Tilly of St. Joseph and brother-in-law Leroy (Phyllis) Hendrix of St. Joseph. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
