Jeanne Kay Klein

Jeanne K. Klein, 48, of Watervliet, MI passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services, 8747 US 31 Berrien Springs, with Father Jim Morris officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Jeanne was born March 4, 1965 in Alton, IL to Lester & Mary (Heffelfinger) Politte. She graduated from Portage Central High School in 1983. On October 17, 1981 she married Michael Klein in Kalamazoo, MI. She worked at Hecht Veterinary Hospital in Berrien Springs for 10 years as an office manager. Jeanne enjoyed being involved with her online garage sale group, going to the Berrien County Fair every year and taking care of animals especially the ones in need. Her and Mike were foster parents for the state of Michigan. She loved attending all the school and sporting events for all of their kids. Jeanne especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Madison who was the sunshine of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Mike; children Robert “Bob” Klein of Lawton, Amanda Klein of Niles, Tyler, Aiden “A.J.” and Dominick Klein of Watervliet; granddaughter Madison Klein; father Lester Politte of Potosi, MO; sister Eva(Brad) Hecht of Berrien Springs; brothers Derek Politte of Potosi, MO, Lester Jr. (Belinda) Politte of Potosi, MO and Louis Politte of Battle Creek; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Politte in 1992.
