Vicky Ann Kennedy

Vicky A. Kennedy, 48, of Eau Claire passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend. Those wishing to sign Vicky’s guestbook may do so online at www.heritage-chapel.com. Vicky was born December 31, 1965 in Benton Harbor, MI to Darrell & JoAnn (Boyd) Kennedy. She graduated from Cassopolis High School in 1984 and went on to graduate with an associate’s degree as an x-ray technician from Lake Michigan College. Vicky worked for 25 years as an x-ray technician and most recently was employed at the Southwestern Medical Clinic in Bridgman. She recently went back to college and received her Bachelor’s in Health Care Management from Sienna Heights University in the summer of 2013.  She was a volunteer at the Potawatomi Zoo for 18 years and last summer was an education assistant. In her spare time she enjoyed scrapbooking, cross stitching, and photography. She loved spending time with family and friends especially children. Vicky was very caring and enjoyed helping people in any way she could. She is survived by her father Darrell Kennedy of Eau Claire; brother Michael Kennedy of Prudenville, MI; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn Kennedy on January 8, 2004.
