Judy Poluhanycz

Judy Poluhanycz died on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her home. She was born June 10, 1947 in Benton Harbor and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1965. On July 6, 1968 she married the love of her life, Taras Poluhanycz, and they were together for 44 exciting, wonderful years. Judy was a long-time member of Equine Ladies and loved trail riding, camping, and showing her horses. She was an avid gardener, always wanting to be outside doing something in the yard. Every year she had a beautiful vegetable garden that was also full of flowers. She loved walking her dog Buddy. They went everywhere, fields, woods, parks, beach and to mutt marches.  Some of her best times were when she got together with her girlfriends and they all walked their dogs. Judy is survived by her husband Taras, in-laws, Nick, Chylon, George, Mike, Grant, and Katherine Poluhanycz. Her sister Linda Cohen and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Areta and Sam Cohen and all her wonderful aunts and uncles. Per her wishes she has been cremated. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Starks Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs.
