Ronald Lee Dillon

Ronald L. Dillon, 66, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home in Berrien Springs.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9123 George Ave with Rev. Doug Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Those wishing to share a memory of Ron online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com. Ron was born November 6, 1948 in Benton Harbor to Phillip and Mattie (Wilson) Dillon. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School.  Ron worked as an electronic engineer for many years at Heath Company.  On July 26, 1980 he married the love of his life, Pamela Rudlaff in Berrien Springs.  Ron loved hobbies of all types, so much that after retirement he opened up Action Hobbies in Niles and ran that for many years. He loved trains, especially building model train sets, going to the casino, old western movies, music, and playing pool & cards with his friends & family.  He especially enjoyed going to garage sales or antique shows to buy old or broken items to refurbish them. Ron touched many lives with his strength, perseverance and witty personality that will be forever remembered. Ron is survived by his wife Pamela (Rudlaff) Dillon; daughters; Lynette & Stephanie Dillon both of Stevensville; brother; Gary Dillon of Benton Harbor; sister-in-law; Jennifer (David) Adams of Bridgman; brother-in-laws; Marty (Shelly) Rudlaff & Mike Rudlaff both of Berrien Springs; mother-in-law; Alverda Rudlaff of Berrien Springs; many nieces & nephews; and his beloved fur child Yoda.  He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip & Mattie Dillon.
