Sylvia Stephan

Sylvia Stephan, 81, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at West Woods of Bridgman in Bridgman, MI.  A Private Service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien Springs with Pastor Dwight Nelson officiating. On July 19, 1953 she married Fred Stephan in Portsmouth, OH. Sylvia was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She was a member of Pioneer Memorial Church and in her spare time enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, gardening and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.  Sylvia is survived by her husband Fred Stephan of Berrien Springs; children F. Brian (Cindy) Stephan of Fall River, WI., Elise (Don) Damron of Berrien Springs, MI and Jill (Matthew) Simon of Flint, MI; seven grandchildren Casey, Jessica, Cali, Craig, Dalton, Madison, and Natalie; two great grandchildren Logan and Paige; brother Forrest Wente; and sister Ruth Silver.  Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and sister Eileen Shanko.
