Stella Louise Feather

Stella Louise Harper Feather, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 3, 2015. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Salem Cemetery, S. Scottdale Rd., Berrien Springs with Rev. Linda Gordon and Pastor Brenda Gordon officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to the Robert G. Feather Park c/o Oronoko Township, P.O. Stella was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, February 22, 1922 to Richard and Stella (Recknagel) Harper.  On November 6, 1942 she married her loving husband Robert Feather in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  Together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2002. Stella proudly worked alongside her husband on the family farm, devoting herself to being a wife and mother to her family.  She was an active member of the Hinchman United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.  Following retirement, Stella and Robert made their home in Ft. Myers, Florida for 25 years and shared 20 cruises together.  In her spare time, she loved playing cards, bowling and golfing in the Florida sun. Stella is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Paul) Thelen of Berrien Springs, two granddaughters; Rebecca (Robert) Brandt and Erica (Jonathan) Burke both of Berrien Springs and four great-grandchildren; Caelen Brandt and Kathryn, Jay and Alaina Burke, all of Berrien Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
