Jordan's Obituary

Jordan “Pretty Boy” Paul Parsons was born on Sunday, August 26, 1990 in Fargo, North Dakota to Anna M. Marlen of Tampa, Florida and David. C. Parsons of Evanston, IL. Jordan walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 4, 2016 at the age of 25. Jordan attended Berrien Springs School in Michigan. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in Michigan. He received numerous awards and recognition during his educational pursuits. Jordan loved playing football in high school and when he was 17 years old he dedicated his life to martial arts. He started in high school the year of 2008 and about a month later he took his first amateur fight. Recognizing Jordan’s dedication to mixed martial arts, and his potential, His mother and father started to embrace it as much as he did. Jordan was an American mixed martial artist who formerly competed in Bellator’s featherweight division. Turned professional competitor since October 2010. After amassing a 3-0 record as an amateur he went undefeated in his first four bouts before signing with the Championship Fighting Alliance. Jordan loved his family unconditionally and there was nothing that he wouldn’t do for them. He was such a momma’s boy…… Jordan left a profound impact on everyone who crossed his path. He was loved, cherished, appreciated and respected by all that were blessed to meet and know him. Jordan leaves behind to mourn his passing 3 brothers Skylar, Nicholas, Jonas, 2 sister Brittany (Jordan) and Olivia, 2 nephews, his mother Anna (Greg), father David (Melissa), grandparents (Ann Marlen, Phillip Marlen, Gwen Parsons and Alden Parsons) aunts,   uncles, a host of cousins, and many loving friends.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Berrien Springs High School, Sylvester & Mars Ave., Berrien Springs, MI with Chaplin Michael Fa’asoa officiating. Friends may visit from 4:0 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 20, 2016 at Starks Family Funeral Homes, Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI. A fund is being established in Jordan’s name to benefit anti-bullying in schools and at risk youth.
